Robert Lamboy is a master artisan and craftsman specializing in high end custom furniture and antiques conservation.
Working with private clients and interior design firms including Gauthier-Stacy, Robert's custom furniture has appeared in publications including Traditional Home and Metropolitan Home magazines.
Robert's knowledge of period furniture, veneer, gilding, and finishes has led to antiques conservation commissions for clients including Shreve & Co, The Boston Athenaeum, WGBH, and The Kendall Whaling Museum.
Robert's elegant wood art, custom boxes, drawings, and sculpture have been exhibited at White Columns Studio in NYC and The Clark Gallery. in Lincoln, MA. He has received numerous awards from the Salem
Arts Association.
His innovative wood art includes this walnut clock commemorating paradigm shifts that occurred after the 1883 eruption of the Krakatoa volcano, as well as an abstract sculpture whose moveable figures can turn to face one another to express harmony vs. discord.
After receiving his B.A. in History from Rutgers University, Robert served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in India where he studied drawing, carving, and sculpture under internationally acclaimed artist Balan Nambiar.
He has also studied sculpture at The Decordova Museum and design at The Boston Architecture College.
